Education Networks of America, Inc. (ENA) is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our team in the Southeast region.

Responsibilities

The Solutions Engineer partners with the ENA sales team, assisting by qualifying, positioning, and transitioning sales opportunities within the K-12, higher-education, and library sales channels. The Solutions Engineer is a member of the sales team whose specialty is a deep understanding of ENA’s solutions and is adept at positioning solutions to best address prospective customers’ perceived needs. The Solutions Engineer is highly-technical and utilizes that skillset to provide our sales, marketing, and product teams, with the information necessary to strategically promote, position and sell our portfolio of complex products and services.

 

The Solutions Engineer will be required to:

  • Serve as primary, pre- and post-sales, technical resource for all ENA product lines to Account Service Managers (ASM) within the assigned regional market.
  • Meet with customers and prospects to understand their broadband, communications, access-layer networking, or cloud computing environments and requirements. Foster customer relationships that result in high levels of customer satisfaction, customer retention and new revenue opportunities.
  • Work with sales, technology, operations, and finance teams to sell, design, and price supportable, profitable, creative solutions that are market-leading and meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
  • Work to overcome solution-specific objections from customers and showcase our solutions in a competitively beneficial light.
  • Develop attractive, well-written and highly-detailed proposals that are targeted for both technical and non-technical audiences in response to the technical-requirements’ sections of customer RFPs and FCC Form 470, Description of Services Requested and Certification forms.
  • Maintain and continually develop a deep technical understanding of ENA’s solutions to effectively present to audiences of varying technical backgrounds. Prepare sales presentations and assist as needed with demonstrating and explaining the technical features and product benefits to e audience types.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching are required; CCNP Routing & Switching certification is preferred. Six or more years of sales, sales engineering or customer-facing, production engineering experience in broadband (IP, Ethernet, TDM, BGP, MPLS, general routing and switching) sales engineering or engineering experience as well as general knowledge of the broadband marketplace and evolving broadband technologies. Minimum of 3 years direct or indirect experience designing, implementing and supporting medium to large scale multi-protocol data networks.

Qualified candidates will also have significant experience designing and implementing networks that support Cloud Computing, VoIP/Hosted PBX/Unified Communications and at least one of the broader technology categories of Infrastructure as a Service, Wi-Fi and/or LAN/WAN networking solutions. Proven written and verbal communication, collaboration, strategic sales, project/task management and relationship building skills. A background in VoIP Engineering or Network Engineering is a plus. The Solutions Engineer must be highly-proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel with a greater depth of understanding in Microsoft Visio.

This position will require travel 50-70% of the time, primarily within the Southeast region and other states, as needed.  Candidate must live within the Nashville area.  Some overnight stays will be required.  A valid driver’s license is required and the candidate’s driving record must enable them to be eligible for coverage under ENA’s liability policy. 

Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule and pass all required background checks and drug screenings.  This is a full-time position eligible for benefits with the opportunity to earn a base salary plus bonus.
