    Education Networks of America, Inc. (ENA) is seeking a WiFI Engineer for the Cleveland area.  This position will be Contract-to-Hire.

    Responsibilities

    Daily responsibilities include:

    • Configuration and support of wireless controllers, access points, switches and routers
    • Travel to customer facilities performing heat mapping and validating RF signals and correct coverage for client devices.
    • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace faulty equipment at locations throughout the area in support of the WLAN.
    • Work in collaboration with other team members to implement best practice changes, security upgrades, and configuration improvements to facilitate ongoing network improvement.
    • Act as subject matter expert for Cisco wireless controllers, Aironet access points, Cisco ISE, and Cisco switches and routers.

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidates will have:

    • Five or more years working within the IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi industry with active participation in configuration, site survey, troubleshooting and implementation of a broad range of projects in scope and size
    • Experience with support and implementation of Cisco wireless hardware and management via Cisco ISE
    • Experience with VLAN configurations to support the Wi-Fi network
    • Cisco, HP and other carrier class switching experience
    • Experience with routing topologies, subnetting, interior gateway protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, static) is preferred to implement full featured systems with NAT, DHCP, VLSM addressing
    • Experience with command line (serial connection) configuration within devices with strong ability to navigate Cisco IOS.
    • Experience working with multiple site survey methodologies and testing equipment including Ekahau or other testing devices and interfaces.
    • Able to read heat maps and survey reports as well as generate each as necessary utilizing provided site survey tools
    • Experience working with various switching infrastructure implementing 802.1Q configurations

     

    A Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA) certification is required; Certified Wireless Network Administrator(CWNA) certification is preferred.

     

    This position will be based in Cleveland, Ohio.  Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and willing to travel throughout the Cleveland, Ohio area  regularly and overnight travel in the U.S. approximately 10% of the time.
