    Education Networks of America, Inc. (ENA) is seeking an experienced Carrier Relations Manager to join our team.

    Responsibilities

    The Carrier Relations Manager is responsible for managing ENA’s relationships and SLA (Service Level Agreement) performance with multiple carriers across several markets to ensure and negotiate optimum pricing, solutions and establish strategic partnerships where appropriate. This position will manage a large volume of customer RFP/470 inquiry submissions (some complex) to develop strategic solutions for new or upgraded business, and work with internal engineering, operations and finance teams to coordinate work and review solution options. Additionally, this role will review current carrier spend to optimize against contract terms, obligations and customer service requirements.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Work with Sales to develop strategic and cost-effective solutions used to deliver ENA data services.
    • Support the end-to-end inquiry lifecycle and collaborate with various internal departments to drive continuous process improvement, resulting in a more efficient and effective user experience.
    • Manage large RFP and/or complex solution quoting opportunities, as well as support other Carrier Management resources to ensure inquiries are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Develop new and maintain existing carrier relationships, including managing carrier performance and supporting all efforts to drive service improvements.
    • Work with Network Engineering to ensure carrier solutions adhere to ENA’s current and long-term network architecture standards.
    • Research and implement cost-savings initiatives, including managing carrier contract renewal and ETL avoidance/offsets, as well as negotiate pricing and contracts with carriers and ensure all ordering requirements and timelines are identified and captured.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in a related area preferred, with 5+ years of previous telecommunications service delivery, engineering, network/access planning or carrier relations experience required.  Strong communications, analytical and customer management skills. Prior carrier quoting and contract negotiation experience required. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of telecommunications networking concepts, Ethernet services and basic knowledge of VOIP services.  Ability to work well independently and as part of a dynamic team environment required. 

    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required, noting Excel as a key application. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio a plus.

    Travel is required up to 10% of the time. A good driving record is required to maintain this position.
